This includes services that seek to help institutional investors and pension funds address the Morrison and IndyMac Problems. Additionally, DIVIDEX offers services that seek to increase recoveries from class action securities litigation.

Irwin B. Schwartz
Irwin B. Schwartz is President and managing member of DIVIDEX Management, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. He formed DIVIDEX in 2013 to hold and license proprietary intellectual property developed in connection to his work with Mass PRIM and to advise institutional investors in improving their management and recovery of securities litigation claims as assets. In 2014, Mr. Schwartz registered DIVIDEX Management, LLC as an investment advisor under the Investment Advisors Act and formed DIVIDEX Risk Insurance Company, a captive Delaware statutory trust, to provide before-the-event adverse party cost insurance exclusively for DIVIDEX Management, LLC clients that join securities litigation in loser-pays jurisdictions.
In 1994, Mr. Schwartz founded a boutique business litigation law firm, which is now BLA Schwartz, PC, with offices in Boston and Westwood, Massachusetts, New York, New York, and Los Angeles and San Jose, California. Among BLA Schwartz’s clients are Mass PRIM and CalSTRS and other institutional investors.
Mr. Schwartz is a graduate of the Honors College at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, holding bachelor degrees in Political Science (summa cum laude) and Journalism (magna cum laude). He is also a graduate of Boston College Law School, with a Juris Doctor degree (magna cum laude). Mr. Schwartz is licensed to practice law in New York, Massachusetts, California and Michigan as well as numerous United States Federal district and appellate courts.
